The Farmington River is a pristine nationally designated wild and scenic river. It is also one of the most highly regarded trout fishing rivers in New England. This is an image from the northern-most section of the wild and scenic section of the river above the town of Riverton and just below the point where it exits under the Hogback Dam and reservoir.

Tom Camerons photography is a wonderful adventure that opens up the wild and secret places in our midst. Photos in the Farmington River gallery come directly from his time kayaking on and around that river. Breathtaking images appear on the river for a short while at the beginning of the day, and many are unique to the sunrise event. The variety that light generates on and in the water is endless.
