Being in the kayak in the fog very early in the morning when the world is still sleeping and the water is flat and your imagination is seeing things in the fog - there's a thrill. But it also makes for some interesting pictures. And everything gets very wet from the fog. This dock is the island umbilical connection to the outside world.

Tom Camerons photography is a wonderful adventure that opens up the wild and secret places in our midst. Photos in the Farmington River gallery come directly from his time kayaking on and around that river. Breathtaking images appear on the river for a short while at the beginning of the day, and many are unique to the sunrise event. The variety that light generates on and in the water is endless. Reflection symmetries, unique misty lighting and captured water motion dominate the collection.
